May 06, 2017 · I don't see where you got the 279 number. Your force of 10.29 is correct. The energy to go back and forth one time will be 10.29 X 0.08 X 2 = 1.64 J. At 16 cycles per sec you will use 1.64 X 16 = 26.34 joules/sec or 26.34 watts if you motor is 100% efficient
